Greetings and salutations! Thanks for reading our blog. This is a blog about the browser toolbars that come from AOL. We will post our thoughts and reveal some behind-the-scenese stuff, and we want you to respond with yours.
In case you did not know, browser toolbars are little add ons to Internet Explorer or Firefox. They usually add functionality to your browser that makes it easier to get stuff done on the web. AOL has been building browser toolbars for a few years, and so has Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Dozens of other companies also build toolbars (some are really cool, some are considered a bit evil), but we wanted to let you know about the product, the team, and how we are trying to build the best products for you (our readers and users).
The AOL Toolbar is all about trying to make your life on the web easier: we give you quick access to mail, IM functionality, web searching, and allow you to put links from our button gallery or any site on the internet as a button on the toolbar. However, we know that you may have ideas about changes or additions you would like to see, so let the ideas roll. Seriously. We love getting feedback, and some of the best ideas come from simple comments in a blog. ; )
We (our small Toolbar Team, more of who you will meet later) look forward to letting you know about our product, and hearing what you think.
